I went back to the Museum of Natural History yesterday (it was sort of a last-minute plan, sorry I didn’t tell anyone I was going) this was the first time I’ve gone to draw there in a month or two. I guess that all the kids are out of school for the summer. So much for my peaceful days of tranquil drawing at the museum. I’m becoming so curmudgeonly, just like this monkey.
Sketching for a comic book I’ve been tinkering around with for a while. This is the central character of the series. She fights crime, or at least, she wants to.
A sad update today. Rest in peace, Tyson Doodle Baggins.
Something I’ve been working on for self-promotional purposes. I call it “Self Portrait +100 Years.”
Doodlin’ cute things. Or trying to, at least. I think it’s actually really rare to see drawings that are really cute. Often you see an artist get too into rendering fuzzy fur, or realistic eyes, and it somehow manages to derail the while thing. I feel like I’m seeing drawings all the time that have all the pieces of something cute, but somehow they’re all just put together in a way that just looks… weird.
